It grants international scholarships, including Pakistan. To join this university, you will first need to study from Al Azhar Alsharif Pre-University Institute.

1- Requirements:

To study from Al-Azhar University, follow the below mentioned requirements:

• You are not allowed to avail any other scholarship while studying in Al-Azhar University.

• Your spouse can come along to Egypt, but cannot get a scholarship at the same time.

2- Scholarship and Exemptions for International Students:

On being selected, your tuition fee will be redeemed and a monthly stipend of worth 160 Egyptian pounds will be given. There will also be an allowance given at the beginning and the completion of the studies. If you cannot maintain your academic record and fail once, it will be reduced to half and if the same happens again, it will be suspended. You will be residing in a hostel, if available.

3- Documents Required to Apply for Scholarship:

• Application form that is properly filled and you put your signature in the respective space.

• Your birth certificate

• Six photographs of passport size with your full name and nationality.

• A copy of your Passport

• A recommendation letter issued by some official personality

• A Study certificate

• Your education documents and certificates

• Your health certificate which shows that you are not suffering from any infectious disease.

• All the required items should be approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

• For getting admission in Al-Azhar Alsharif Pre-University Institute, your religion should be Islam and your age must not exceed 25.

4- Level Determination Exams:

Those students who are listed will pass the level determination exam that comprises Arabic and Qur’an. Then they will be admitted to the class according to their result. The result of this test is final and is not changed later.

If your admission is not in time, you will be admitted to the institute of Special Studies and will pass the level determination exam within 12 months. The scholarships are presented in the month of February. You can see the application form and its detailed information at the following link:

5- The World Association for Al-Azhar Graduate Pakistanis:

The World Association grants scholarships for International Students students in the subject areas of Arabic at the Bachelors, Graduate, Masters and PhD levels.

If you are a boy and selected for the award of this scholarship, you can join any of the disciplines from below mentioned faculties:

• Faculty of Islamic Jurisprudence

• Faculty of Islamic and Arab studies

• Faculty of Theology

• Faculty of Islamic Sciences for international students

• Faculty of Islamic preaching

Similarly, the girls can join any of the following faculties:

• Faculty of Islamic Jurisprudence

• Faculty of Islamic and Arab studies

• Faculty of Theology
